Posted: 04-21-2007Timy Fairfield has been contracted by ESPN/STAR Productions as head routesetter of the ‘07 AsianX-Games Bouldering/Speed Climbing event to be hosted in Shanghai, China May 2-5 at the KIC Jiangwan Sports Stadium (cap: 40,000). This represents the 5th consecutive year that Timy Fairfield has rendered his services as routesetter/forerunner and TV sports analyst/commentator for this event. ESPN/STAR entered a 3yr agreement with Waugh Worldwide Productions, LLC, to oversee the climbing competition organization of the event which will be hosted in Shanghai for ‘07, ‘08 & ‘09. With a combined TV viewership of 154 million households, ESPN/STAR Sports broadcasts the Asian X-Games (in it’s 9th yr) throughout Southeast Asia, The Middle East , India, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand and North America on ESPN Intl., and ESPN II (in the US).
