April 18-20 ARG Performance Training Camp

Timy Fairfield will be conducting an open 3-day performance training camp at Austin Rock Gym in Austin, TX in Texas region. The emphasis of this camp is on adult and youth team gym climbing & rock climbing training techniques and competition strategies in preparation for the ’08 USAC Difficulty/Speed climbing season.

“Improve your climbing skills to take your performance to the next level.” Timy Fairfield & Brandi Proffitt in collaboration with Suntoucher Mtn. Guides owner, John Kear (Certified IFMGA Guide) will be offering an outdoor “Intro to Performance Rock Climbing Clinic” at the Enchanted Tower – Datil, NM.

May 1-3/'08 CWA Climbing Wall Summit

Timy Fairfield will be presenting at the 2008 Climbing Wall Summit. He will be sharing his perspective on the subject of “Commercial Climbing Gym Facilities of the Future”. The event will provide CWA members and the climbing community with an outstanding professional development experience. Join us for the most powerful and productive gathering of influential leaders, manufacturers, climbing wall owners, managers, and staff in the field of climbing sports.

Timy Fairfield SHS Appearance - DEC 7

SHS Alumnus, Timy Fairfield, will be visiting Sandia High School in Albuquerque, NM to give a motivational presentation and meet with students from Humanities, Health, PE and Social Studies classes.

He will be sharing his experiences as a professional action sports athlete, health & fitness lifestyle, international travel and non-tradional career development. Through this event he will be promoting participation and enrolment in the International Club as well as facilitating the formation of a SHS Climbing Club.

The event is being organzied by Timy’s former SHS Humanities teachers, Dusty Blech and Carol Hoffman. The event is sponsored by The SHS Humanities Club, International Club and U.N. Club.

Fall 07 Sportiva Solution Team Tour

The tour is a promotional campaign utilizing Sportiva sponsored athletes in appearances at retail locations, commercial climbing gyms and local outdoor climbing areas to promote Sportiva’s new award winning, state-of-the-art, performance rock shoe – the ‘Solution’. Sportiva sponsored athletes will available to climb with gym members/customers.

The 1-month/20 event tour, scheduled October 12 – November 5, will visit the SE region of the US. The team will be offering a series of free multi-media shows, shoe demos, gear raffles and poster signings.

The Sportiva sponsored pro-climbers making appearances on this tour will be: Timy Fairfield – Sportiva Team Captain (Albuquerque, NM), Jason Kehl (Jarettsville, MD), Ivan Green (NYC, NY) & Abbey Smith (Boulder, CO). There will also be Guest appearances by Sportiva sponsored team members from the SE such as Chris Sierzant, Bentley Brackett and Lance Brock.

May 2-5 '07 KIA ESPN AsianX-Games

Timy Fairfield has been contracted by ESPN/STAR Productions as head routesetter of the ‘07 AsianX-Games Bouldering/Speed Climbing event to be hosted in Shanghai, China May 2-5 at the KIC Jiangwan Sports Stadium (cap: 40,000). This represents the 5th consecutive year that Timy Fairfield has rendered his services as routesetter/forerunner and TV sports analyst/commentator for this event. ESPN/STAR entered a 3yr agreement with Waugh Worldwide Productions, LLC, to oversee the climbing competition organization of the event which will be hosted in Shanghai for ‘07, ‘08 & ‘09. With a combined TV viewership of 154 million households, ESPN/STAR Sports broadcasts the Asian X-Games (in it’s 9th yr) throughout Southeast Asia, The Middle East , India, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand and North America on ESPN Intl., and ESPN II (in the US).

May 25-26 '07 Ascenders Training Stage

The Ascenders youth competition team head coach, Joe Czerwinski, will be conducting a private 2-day competition preparation stage at Timy Fairfield’s training facility, the ‘Game Room’, in Albuquerque, NM. The focus of the camp will be competition performance strategies to prepare qualified athletes (from SW Regionals) for the USAC Division 2 Youth Championships scheduled for June 9-10 at Stone Age Climbing Gym in Albuquerque, NM.

Special Event: Revolution/Sportiva Bouldering Demo (Friday, Aug. 11)

My sponsors, Revolution and Sportiva, are co-organizing a special event in Little Cottonwood Canyon Friday, Aug. 11 at 5pm. This unique gathering will include a Revolution crashpad demo & Sportiva shoe demo, free refreshments and an opportunity to meet and climb the beautiful granite boulders of LCC with sponsored climbers from Team Revolution and Team Sportiva.
